New Updates to the Lighthouse Community Journal Page!

It was the happiest time of their lives.
Julie and Wayne Bacon were living a dream come true. They purchased their first home in June 2007. A week later, they found out they were expecting their first child. On March 11, 2008, beautiful baby Morgan Bacon was born. Life was good, and they had never felt that their thoughts and hopes were more in sync.

Until tragedy hit.
Just three weeks after Morgan’s birth, April 1, 2008, Wayne suffered a massive stroke in the left hemisphere of his brain. His brain began to bleed severely. Doctors performed a craniotomy to provide room for his brain to swell, preventing death.

A desperate need for support.
Wayne is paralyzed on the right side of his body and cannot speak. He can understand some instructions. He recognizes friends and family, keeping his wife and family’s hopes alive. The doctors have determined that the stroke was the result of an undiagnosed case of Graves’ Disease. Wayne and his family are in desperate need of your support to cover living expenses and costs associated with Wayne’s treatment.
